The app has been available in 29 European countries since June 1, 2026. With a clear focus on connecting queer people in big cities as well as small towns and rural regions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (and beyond).

Why GayHearts needs to exist

I lost my partner after 18 years together and cared for him at home until his last day. When I tried to reconnect with other people afterward, I was deeply shocked: the sheer number of fake profiles, bots, and scammers in existing LGBTQIA+ apps.

Anyone who has truly grieved knows how vulnerable you are afterward. And that's exactly where scammers positioned themselves.

In that moment, it was clear: if nobody else does it, I'll do it myself. Not for profit. But because our community deserves a safe space.

What the market is missing

I clicked through every LGBTQIA+ app in Germany and beyond. Three clear findings:

Fake profiles everywhere

Half the profiles were fake. No real verification.

Not built for us

The apps weren't built for us. Generic code with a Pride banner.

Data with US corporations

The data belonged to US corporations with algorithms designed to keep you in the app, not to help you find real connections.

How we solve it

A purely technical authenticity check that protects

We exclusively verify whether you are a real person to prevent fake profiles 100%. Your privacy is absolutely safe: Our system evaluates neither your gender nor your appearance. This creates maximum trust for the entire community.
